Autumn, probably a florists' favourite season. When flowers mix with seed heads, fruits, feathers and moss. Dusky hydrangeas combine with quince and nerines, lichen covered twigs and rosehips. We will make the most of the rich tones and textures, in wreaths and table centres.

No previous flower experience is needed, just some enthusiasm.

This course includes all the tools and flowers you will need, a delicious lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Everybody will leave with at least two arrangements.

We will be using the very best of the Autumn season, including flowers and edibles from our own plot.
What we will cover:
Where to source flowers
What to cut from the garden
How to condition flowers in order to get the longest vase life
Tools you should have and those you don't need
Making of a table centre using chicken wire or foam
How to make a door wreath
Arrangements for tables and tips on styling up your dining table
How to use these techniques to create larger arrangements for special occasions.
Valentine will be in attendance......
During the course of the day we will discuss all the other bits, working in flowers, social media, photography and whippets.
